About
What does a dietitian do?
As registered dietitian I provide nutritional counselling for sustainable weight loss, emotional eaters, and basic healthy lifestyle throughout the life cycle, as well as therapeutic nutrition for conditions like diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, cholesterol, kidney disease, cancer and other chronic diseases that lead to weight loss, intestinal disorders, malnutrition and frailty.
About me
I strive to provide the highest quality nutrition care, personalised to every person that I see.
I have a BSc degree in Human life sciences and psychology from the University of Stellenbosch, and a BSc medical honours degree in dietetics from the University of Cape Town. I am registered with the Health Profession Council of South Africa as a dietitian in independent practice, and my practice is registered with the Board of Healthcare Funders. I am also a member of the Association for Dietetics in South Africa. I keep up to date with all the latest research and developments by reading scientific journal articles and attending courses and seminars.
